On March 16, 2014, the Myrtle Beach Chapter of the Chaine des Rotisseurs joined Horry Georgetown Technical College's Foundation Board for an elegant evening in support of the College's thriving Culinary Institute. 

Despite the cold rain, the seventh-annual gala drew more than 200 ardent supporters of delicious food and outstanding education. The evening’s theme was Rock ‘n’ Roll and the decor featured giant album covers, oversized guitars, and live-concert footage. In addition to a superb meal, auctions, both silent and live, tempted attendees with yachting excursions, fine art, a wheelbarrow full of wine, and a trip for two to Las Vegas.  Each year, the proceeds support a scholarship fund for culinary students and other culinary arts projects.  Over the past seven years, the event has contributed more than $400,000 to nurture the culinary arts along the Grand Strand. 

This year’s event raised $97,000 to further the Myrtle Beach Chapter’s commitment to support the growth of culinary arts in the area and to provide financial assistance to deserving culinary students. The Tony and Allyson Hirsh Scholarship Fund granted over $10,000 in awards to sixteen deserving students.
